林宏信過往以寫實繪畫為主體形式、卻注入強烈的主觀意識，同時揉合虛擬的空間意像、以及個人的經歷與妄想。其人物主體是錯綜複雜的自我投射，也是藝術家遁脫現實世界的分身。透過此類超現實的肖像，他企圖改變觀眾的視覺經驗與閱讀習慣、並與觀眾產生異時同地的共鳴。
林宏信將為 Art Taipei 創作的全新系列複合媒材畫作，新作延續他試圖變異並裂解影像與繪畫邊線的獨特語彙，試圖以更真誠且更赤裸裸地自我剖析，呈現個人看待生存困境與環境變化的內在感知。
Lin Hung-Hsin has been known for using realistic painting as the main form, but injected a strong subjective consciousness. At the same time, he has blended virtual spatial imagery, as well as personal experiences and delusions. The main body of the characters is an intricate self-projection, which is also the clone of the artist escaping from the real world. Through such surreal portraits, he attempts to change the visual experience and reading habits of the viewers, so as to resonate with them in different times and places.
Lin will create a new series of mix-media paintings for Art Taipei, which derives from his signature visual vocabulary of trying to mutate and split the boundary of images and painting. By analyzing himself more sincerely and profoundly, he conveys his inner perception of living dilemmas and environmental changes.
