「小森林計畫」是崇孝近年來一直想執行的創作計畫，崇孝這幾年不斷琢磨山林樹木各式各樣的畫法，他先從一些當代大師或是歷史知名畫家的作品學習，例如：英國風景畫的代表康斯坦博、法國著名的巴比松派畫家柯洛等。後來崇孝身體力行進入森林，去爬山、去觀察，著迷於壯闊雄偉的山以及大片大片的樹林，崇孝因此興起以大尺幅的方式將森林搬進展場的想法。於是這次展覽準備了「快樂的白楊樹林」、「百鹿圖」、「遠大前程」、「動物莊園」等四件大型作品，作品內容依然承襲了經典名畫重製的創作脈絡，此外，還加了一些小動物來增加畫面的可看、可讀跟趣味性，邀請觀眾跟著「嘟嘴男孩」悠然自在於森林中。

“Little Forest" is a creative project that Chong-Xiao has been contemplating in recent years. During this time, Chong-Xiao has been continuously exploring various painting techniques related to forests. He started by studying the works of contemporary masters and well-known historical painters, such as Constable, the representative of British landscape painting, and Corot, a renowned painter from the Barbizon school in France.

Later, Chong-Xiao immersed himself in nature, going hiking and marvelling at the grandeur of the vast forests, captivated by the charm of nature. This fascination led Chong-Xiao to conceive the idea of bringing the forest into the exhibition through large-scale artworks. Small animals have been incorporated to enhance the visual appeal and playfulness of the artwork, with the hope that the audience will enjoy the forest experience alongside Chong-Xiao's "Little Fat Boy.
