Sun Lin’s artwork does not cling to external appearances. His works, instead, represent internal peace and are a reflection of harmony with nature. Lin specializes in brush & ink, vivid conception, forms, and utilization and control of water. Unchanging, constant scenery and the beauty of silence and loneliness permeate the paper. In addition to exquisite mountains, fluttering water and lively flowers, he is expert in hair colors and textures, in which he captures distinctive expressions and movements of animals and birds and also transmits a powerful value of reverence for life.
