許悔之，一九六六年生，台灣桃園人，國立台北工專（現改制為國立台北科技大學）化工科畢業。曾獲多種文學獎項及雜誌編輯金鼎獎。曾任《自由時報》副刊主編、《聯合文學》雜誌及出版社總編輯。現為有鹿文化事業有限公司社長、國家文化藝術基金會董事。

 著有童書《星星的作業簿》；散文《眼耳鼻舌》、《我一個人記住就好》；詩集《陽光蜂房》、《家族》、《肉身》、《我佛莫要，為我流淚》、《當一隻鯨魚渴望海洋》、《有鹿哀愁》、《亮的天》；二O O六年出版《遺失的哈達：許悔之有聲詩集》；英譯詩集Book of Reincarnation、三人合集《台灣現代詩II》之日譯詩集等詩作外譯，並與馬悅然（N.G.D. Malmqvist）、奚密（Michelle Yeh）合編《航向福爾摩莎：詩想臺灣》（Sailing to Formosa: A Poetic Companion to Taiwan, 美國華盛頓大學出版社出版，二O O五年）；二O O七年出版個人日譯詩集《鹿の哀しみ》（三木直大教授翻譯，日本東京思潮社印行）；二O一O年出版散文《創作的型錄》；二O一七年出版詩集《我的強迫症》；二O一八年出版散文《但願心如大海》，二O一九年出版散文《就在此時，花睡了》，二〇二〇年七月，出版《不要溫馴的踱入，那夜憂傷：許悔之詩文選》。

二O一七年起，藝術創作的手墨作品，陸續參加台北國際藝術博覽會、上海城市藝術博覽會、Art Plus Shanghai⋯⋯等多種藝術博覽會之聯展；二O一八年三月，台北「敦煌藝術中心」舉辦《你的靈魂是我累世的眼睛：書寫觀音書寫詩‧許悔之手墨展》；二O一九年三月，佛光山「佛光緣美術館」總館舉辦《以此筆墨法供養：許悔之手墨展》；二O二O年八月，台北「大觀藝術空間」舉辦《夢中繁華：許悔之手墨展》，並應台北市立美術館之邀，參與《藍天之下：我們時代的精神狀況》聯展，進行名為《字，療。》的書寫行動計劃。

Hsu Hui-chih was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 1966 and graduated from National School of Industrial Instruction (now National Taipei University of Technology) majoring in chemical engineering. Hsu has been awarded with multiple prizes in literature as well as the prestigious Editor’s Award in the Magazine category at the Golden Tripod Awards. He began his career in editing with one of Taiwan’s leading newspapers Liberty Times and later with Unitas Magazine as editor-in-chief and is the founder and director of publishing house Unique Route and he has recently been appointed as director of National Culture and Arts Foundation.

Hsu is the author of children’s book “The Star’s Excise Book”; proses “Eyes, Ears, Noses and Tongues”, “I Alone Shall Retain This Memory”; poems “The Sunny Beehive”, “The Family”, “The Mortal Body”, “Don’t Cry for Me My Buddha”, “When a Whale Desires the Ocean”, “The Sorrows of Unique Route”, “The Bright Skyline”, and “The Lost Khata: a collection of Hsu Hui-chih’s audio poems” was published in December 2006; the collection of poems “Book Reincarnation” was translated from Chinese; “Taiwanese Contemporary Poetry II” co-written with two other writers was translated into Japanese. Hsu has also co-edited “Sailing to Formosa: A Poetic Companion to Taiwan” (University of Washington Press, 2005) with N.G.D. Malmqvist and Michelle Yeh; “The Deer’s Sorrows” was translated by Professor Miki Naotake and published by Shinchosha Publishing in Tokyo in December 2007; a collection of proses was published in July 2010 under the title “The Catalogue of Creations”; followed by “My Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder”, a collection of poem published in June 2017, “May My Heart Be Like the Ocean” in October 2018, a collection of proses “The Flowers Have Fallen Asleep Just Now” was published in 2019, and the latest publication “Don’t Gently Wander Into That Sorrowful Night – Poems by Hsu Hui-chih” was published in July 2020.

Hsu became an active ink artist in 2017, participating in multiple group exhibition as well as art fairs such as Art Taipei, Citizen Art Shanghai and Art Plus Shanghai. Solo exhibitions include “Your soul is my eyes from various reincarnations: on Guanyin and the poems” in March 2018; “The Dharma Offering of Ink: Solo Exhibition by Hsu Hui-chih” in Fo Guan Yuan Art Gallery, Fo Guan Shan, Kaohsiung; “Flourishing Amidst Dreams – Hsu Hui-Chih’s Ink Art” in Daguan Gallery in August 2020. Hsu has also invited by Taipei Fine Arts Museum to participate in “Between Earth and the Sky: The Spiritual State of Our Times” where he performed live with the theme “Words that Heal”.
