黃歌川 冰裂紋之美
國際冰裂紋蠟染畫先驅 ─ 黃歌川「冰裂紋蠟染」作品，呈現如冰裂開的紋路，變化無窮，充滿立體感，呈現自然美，讓人不經意地想要觸碰，畫面有較強的視覺衝擊力，在藝術風格上獨樹一幟。
半世紀前，黃歌川發現西方對蘊含東方色彩的蠟染，情有獨鍾。他決定讓古老的蠟染重生，改良傳統的技法與構圖，研發出獨創新技法，能夠產生出奧妙無窮的冰裂紋，至今日本、馬來西亞與印尼等藝術家，仍然望塵莫及。黃歌川蠟染新技法，改變世界蠟染發展的趨向，留下不可磨滅的貢獻。因作品不可複製，獨一無二，在市場上極為稀有。
黃歌川作品入選巴西聖保羅國際雙年展、全國美展(免審查資格)，廣獲美國航空暨太空總署(NASA)、國立歷史博物館、福建省美術館等，歐美、日韓、中國等機構與私人藏家典藏。黃歌川其名列入文化部戰後台灣美術史。

The Beauty of Ice-Crack Batik Painting by K. C. HUANG
As an international pioneer in Ice-Crack Batik Painting, K.C. Huang creates works featuring patterns akin to cracks in the ice, full of multifarious and stereoscopic sense, tempting one to touch them. His works are acute visual impact in terms of images ; and unique in terms of artistic styles.
Half a century ago, Huang discovered that the West had a special liking for the Eastern flavor of batik. Huang decided to revive the ancient Chinese batik craft, transform traditional technique and composition, and simplify complex procedures, so he created the exclusive ice-crack batik dyeing technique to embody the enduringly profound beauty of the ice-crack. he made an indelible contribution to the global development of batik art. As his works are unique and one of a kind, they are very rare on the market.
Huang’s artworks were selected for exhibitions e.g. Bienal de São Paulo (Brazil); The National Arts Exhibition (Taiwan) - lifetime “exemption from censorship”, and highly sought after by institutions and collectors in the US, EU, Japanese, Korea and China, such as US NASA, National Museum of History (Taiwan), Fujian Provincial Art Museum (China) . Huang is listed in history on Taiwan’s post-war art development compiled by the Ministry of Culture.
